INTERIOR & FURNITURE DESIGN WITH SPACE BETWEEN, 2019
At the above is a concept space which sits at the intersection of Art, Design and Fashion. Playing on the beautiful character of the building, the Baltic pine floors and rendered walls were gently restored in the 200sqm footprint. Honeycomb yellow travertine, brass joinery and a washed yellow pigment complete the amenities.
Alongside the space sits an evolving kit of over 20 sculptural furniture pieces, helping cemet the visual identity of the gallery and concept space. Designed to work within the fluid landscape of At the above and it’s evolving usage, the pieces focus on a refined brutalist expression, built from raw brushed aluminium to be lightweight and dismantable.
